Another Green Company Goes Under

First Solar, a solar panel company based in Tempe Arizona, is laying off 2,000 employees, which is 30 percent of its global workforce.  Why is First Solar laying off people? "...to address the oversupply of solar panels on the market"

Oh really?  You mean....there's not enough demand, so this may not have been a good business venture?

Here's another interesting tidbit: The company is nearly finished building a factory in Mesa that will be put on hold indefinitely once it's completed. Officials have said they will move some employees into the building once it is done next month but have no plans to start the manufacturing lines.

First Solar is another Obama -funded "green" company.  So YOU the taxpayer have funded a company that is addressing a market that has no demand by building a manufacturing plant that will sit idle....on your tax dollars.


Never Showed Profitability:
The solar industry has been troubled by an oversupply of solar panels as the price to make them has dropped in the past year, and as the biggest market for them, Germany, has cut its subsidies.  So it's subsidies that created a "market" for solar panels.

First Solar has never been profitable.  Referring to an article in Forbes, they showed growth in the beginning, but..."First Solar’s success rests on government subsidies and tax breaks, foreign and domestic." 

 

This is what happens when you let a leftist community organizer who has NO business experience into the White House.  He throws billions of dollars at companies and industries that will never be profitable.  And YOU are paying the tab.

 

Obama is causing the layoffs:

Obama has shut down the oil industry; 

• He's cut off all drilling in the Gulf and Alaska.
• He rejected the Keystone Pipeline.
• He gave seven oil-rich Alaskan islands to Russian. 

 All of this has caused gas prices to skyrocket.  And his only answer is to continue to shovel billions of dollars to industries that are failing...costing us trillions of dollars that could be used elsewhere for greater effect for all Americans.

The only solution is to throw the idiot out of office in November before he ruins the country completely.

Boy, that economic recovery is just booming right along, isn't it?  Hey libs...is this "hope" or "change"?  Actually, it's "change but no hope".  With news as dismal as this, If the PLP candidates can't beat Obama in November, then you KNOW they threw the election.

How Obama's Utopia is Killing America

Obama is the personification of liberal stupidity.  His vision of "utopia" is killing America and it needs to be stopped NOW.

The most obvious is his so-called energy "policy".  In his last three State of the Union speeches, Obama talked about how important it is that we achieve "energy independence" from foreign oil imports.  However, he's adhering to a couple of liberal myths:

1. Oil and all oil-based products are evil incarnate and must be stopped.
2. "Green" energy will save the planet.

Therefore, Obama can't drill for more oil.  He has to make "green" energy work.

Consider this:

1. Obama shut down all oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.  Thousands of oil workers in Louisiana, Florida, and the other panhandle states lost their jobs.  This includes a lot of secondary jobs of businesses who supported the oil industry.  Drilling has not been started up since then...the moratorium still stands.
   
2. Obama just killed the Keystone pipeline from Canada.  Millions of gallons of oil could have come from our nearest neighbor, thereby cutting our need for Middle East oil.  This action also killed a minimum of 20,000 new oil-related jobs.  Secondary jobs (that support the oil companies; transportation, parts, restaurants, hotels, etc.) were also killed, for an estimated total of 100,000 jobs.

As for Obama's vision of alternative energy, three "green" companies that received millions in stimulus money have gone bankrupt.

1. Evergreen Energy filed for bankruptcy.
2. Ener1, a battery-manufacturer, went under.
3. Amonix, a solar-panel company, laid off two-thirds of its work force.

Despite the failures of these companies, Obama continues to throw millions of taxpayer dollars at them, effectively lining the pockets of the CEO's who contributed to his campaign.

This is why we should NEVER elect a guy whose only experience is in politics.  He's killing the country by paying off his political pals.  The sooner we throw this boob out of office, the better.

Warren Buffett Benefits from Pipeline Cancellation

Remember how Obama denied a permit to TransCanada Corp to build the Keystone XL pipeline?  Obama claimed that he did it because the deadline that was imposed for approval was too short. But here's the real reason.

Warren Buffett, Democrat-Who-Supports-Higher-Taxes-on-Rich-People,  and a major contributor to the Obama campaign, will benefit from the cancellation of the pipeline.

Warren Buffett’s Burlington Northern Santa Fe LLC is among U.S. and Canadian railroads that stand to benefit from the Obama administration’s decision to reject TransCanada Corp.’s Keystone XL oil pipeline permit.

With modest expansion, Buffett's railroads can transport all new oil produced in western Canada through 2030, according to an analysis of the Keystone proposal by the U.S. State Department.

The State Department denied TransCanada a permit on Jan. 18, saying there was not enough time to study the proposal by Feb. 21, a deadline Congress imposed on President Barack Obama. Calgary-based TransCanada has said it intends to re-apply with a route that avoids an environmentally sensitive region of Nebraska, something the Obama administration encouraged.

Transporting oil by rail would be a lot costlier.  It also means greenhouse gas emissions would be worse than the pipeline and the chances for a catastrophic accident and oil spill are much higher. But that doesn't matter when you're paying back your campaign contributors, does it, Obama?

Newt Gingrich Spanks John King and CNN

Last night at the Republican debate, Newt Gingrich eviscerated CNN and moderator John King (see the video below).  It was beautiful!

CNN insisted on starting the debate by attacking Newt Gingrich with an unconfirmed story (only source: an ex-wife) about Newt’s alleged sexual dalliances. And Newt did exactly what should have been done; he laid into John King and CNN in general just like an angry father would punish a little child who had told a lie.

It was beautiful!  Newt started with:

“I am appalled that you would begin a presidential debate on a topic like that.” (Which got him a standing ovation immediately).  Then he said: “…to make this a topic of a debate is as close to despicable as I can imagine”.

The beauty is that John King, the moderator, was hit broadside. He had no idea that Newt would respond like that, so he looked like a little boy who had just been spanked.  So King, like a typical liberal, tried to make a phony excuse about how CNN hadn’t run the story. 

Newt answered: “You and your staff chose to start the debate with (that topic)!  Don’t try to blame somebody else!”

EXACTLY!  That’s exactly how you talk to liberals!!  Don’t get defensive, go on the offense!  That was a knockout punch because John King never brought the topic up again.

America has far more pressing issues than what a candidate has done in the past; 

• Crushing unemployment
• Record number of people in poverty
• Record number of people on food stamps
• A downgrade in credit for the first time in history  

In addition, our so-called “president” has just cancelled approval for the job-creating Keystone Pipeline project which would have created at least 20,000 new jobs.  We need to change course and put America back on the road to prosperity. That won’t happen if we let the liberals control the dialogue.  The only way to change things is to discredit them and their ideas every time the open their whiney little mouths.

Liberals are just little children; they have the intellectual development level of a four-year-old and should be treated as such.  They focus on the wrong issues, they make big deals out of nothing, try to divert attention from the real problems, and scream and squall when you catch them.  Stick to your guns, spank them soundly, and throw them (figuratively) into the street.  The result will be standing ovations every time.

Obama to Unemployed Americans: Drop Dead!

Barack Hussein Obama, the president who claims he has a "laser-like focus" on creating jobs for unemployed Americans has just cut off the creation of 20,000 new jobs.

Obama has rejected approval for the Keystone oil pipeline from Canada.  This pipeline would have created an estimated 20,000 new jobs for Americans over at least two years, and have cut our dependence on foreign oil.  Instead, in a purely political move, Barack Obama voted against the pipeline.

His "reasoning" was that the 60-day approval timeline to investigate the pipeline was "too short".  So he rejected approval for the pipeline, thereby dashing the hopes of thousands of construction workers.  The timeline for approval was "too short"??  That's not a reason - that's an excuse.  He's just buddying up to his environmentalist wacko supporters.

How a REAL leader would approach this:
A REAL leader who was actually concerned about Americans would have either

1. Negotiated a new timeline, or,
2. Made the approval investigation a top priority so that it would have come in on time.   

But Obama can't do that.  Why?  Because he's literally unable to make sound business decisions.   The fact that he's trying to pin the blame on the Republicans shows that he's been caught and so he's trying to divert attention away from himself.

We don't need a "leader" who makes decisions based on politics. We need a leader who's going to provide opportunities for Americans.  Real unemployment in America is currently between 17% and 20%.  Americans want JOBS.  But we have a "president" who is convinced that jobs are created by unemployment checks.

The only way to get America back on its feet again and put Americans to work is to throw Obama out of office NOW.  Immediately.  He talks about jobs, but his behavior proves that all he wants to do is increase American dependency on the government.  He's proven that time and time again.

So call your favorite GOP representative and tell them to go after Obama; on TV, radio, blogs, YouTube, and Twitter. This job-killing decision by Obama is the ultimate slap in America's face, and he needs to be dragged through the mud with this and then voted out in disgrace in November.
