The GOP is Throwing the Election

The headline in today's news: "Stocks plunge after US hiring dries up".

NO jobs were created in August. Unemployment is STILL above 9%.  The stock market is crashing.  People are being thrown out of their homes.  And what is the GOP doing about it?  Nothing.  Zero. Zip. Nada.  Oh, John "Weepy" Boehner may have written a blog post or released a statement to the press, but that's nothing. Nancy Pelosi upstaged him by blaming Republicans for the current economic state.

Obama is in really dire straits right now.  It's obvious that he's totally incompetent.  Everything he's done to "stimulate" the economy and create jobs has resulted in disaster.  Even some democrats are admitting that. But the GOP does nothing.  They aren't attacking Obama and his policies.

If the elections were tomorrow, a *pie* could beat Obama.  And yet, the GOP has trotted out the most tepid lineup of losers ever, and they make half-hearted statements about "progress".  It would be so easy to beat Obama - all they have to do is cite today's statistics and then laughingly repeat "Hope and Change" and "We own the economy" over and over and over again.  And yet, they let the Democrats attack them right and left and don't put up a fight.  Why?

Because they're in on it. The GOP is deliberately throwing the election for Obama. It's obvious as hell.  The economy is crashing, people are suffering, and the GOP does nothing.  No TV appearances, no scathing press conferences, nothing.  The democrats own this economy - they've said it, and the GOP should be repeating it over and over again.  But they don't.

So what's the point of this rant?  Two things:
1. Get all over your GOP representative. MAKE them feel the heat. To start with, here's John Boehner's Twitter handle: @JohnBoehner.  Tweet him constantly and tell him to get off his arse and get to publicly humiliating Obama.
2. Rick Perry is our best hope, but if some firebrand 3rd-party candidate joins the race, back him/her.  Donald Trump put the fear of God into Obama a while back. If he gets back into the race, I'm going to vote for him.

It's time we had real leaders on our side - not a collection of losers who are throwing the race.
