On Thursday, March 29, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer chastised California for that state’s push to get Senate Bill 1070 killed by the U.S. Supreme Court. Part of the California argument is that Arizona’s crackdown on illegal immigrants will send them to the Golden State.
Jerry Brown admits illegals cause problems...
Jerry Brown, Governor of California, has just backed himself into a corner. On the one hand, he admits that illegals are a problem. If they weren't, why is he concerned that they'll flock to CA? But on the other hand, he doesn't do anything about illegals in his own state, so the problem remains. So what does he do? He tries to stop AZ from fixing their illegal-alien problems.
...but he resorts to very typical liberal behavior:
Jerry Brown is demonstrating very typical liberal behavior: he won't solve his own problems, so he demonizes the people who ARE solving problems. Rather than making hard decisions and taking the steps to solve the problem of illegals in California, Jerry Brown is attempting to demonize Arizona in hopes that CA looks good by comparison. That's what liberals do.
Jan slaps Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown
Naturally, Jan Brewer isn't taking this lying down. In the article, she says:
"Their apparent concern is that SB 1070 would result in illegal aliens seeking safe haven in more accommodating locales elsewhere. Why the objection? Given their complaints about SB 1070, I would think these states would welcome those present illegally with open arms.”"
You tell 'em Jan! I couldn't have said it better myself. I say: "F" off, Jerry Brown. Fix your own immigration problems, and then talk to us about ours. Meanwhile, we'll solve our problems without your help.
